After the eyepatch-wearing rick of the genocider dies, a small robotic device president morty had been holding—a similar device to the one he has used to control "evil rick" in " close rick-counters of the rick kind "—stops beeping, inferring he was controlling the genocider in addition to the citadel. After being informed that rick c-137 could not have survived the explosion, president morty asks his subordinates to erect memorials for the fallen ricks and walks out into the hallway alone to crush the device underfoot. After recalling a conversation between himself and rick c-137 about their timeline, he turns around, looking somberly into the distance. As the explosion spreads, the morty trapped in the bubble, having consumed the potion—consisting of rick's memories and the excretions of the alien parasites from " total rickall "—transforms into rick c-137, the potion having allowed rick to take over his body. Accidentally activating his old answering machine , rick discovers an old voicemail from jerry several years prior informing him of morty's birth and asking him to visit his daughter.

Episode 9 - look who's purging now: the goriest and most brutally violent episode of the whole entire series. Here, rick and morty arrive to an amish style culture planet where its feline-like humanoid inhabitants commit all sort of crimes one night a year, from robbing to murdering, all without any consequence from these atrocities. Here, many civilians are gruesomely executed in a mass murder by being brutally gunned down, blown up, split in half, thrown out, ripped apart, crushed, battered, burned, beaten, obliterated, decapitated, dismembered, sliced, clawed, impaled and stabbed, all of those executions being extremely graphic and also, all of this is accompanied by a very high amount of blood and gore. Also, there's a scene in which the lighthouse chief of the planet gets violently shoved down a long flight of stairs by morty and subsequently lands on his neck, splitting it in half and we see a huge amount of blood pooling in on the ground afterwards. Rick is shown to enjoy committing mass murder in this episode, mostly as a mean to defend himself from the civilians that try to kill him, something that morty objects to until he commits manslaughter by killing the lighthouse chief (as said before), and then morty goes on a massive rampage where he takes out his extreme rage on masses of civilians by brutally murdering them in a very graphic manner, with much blood spurting out, and the rampage begins with morty exploding out of rage and proceeds to violently rip open the neck of a panicking civilian in an utterly gruesome fashion with lots of blood spraying out. Then, the carnage is taken to a mansion, where everyone inside is mercilessly slaughtered, and in the aftermath, the whole place is covered with corpses and supermassive amounts of blood and gore.

With the endless possibilities of the multiverse and rick and morty's fearlessness to confuse viewers, the show has established a crazy timeline of adventures. Harmon and roiland have not been shy about their desire to keep viewers guessing what is and isn't canon, as rick and morty season 4 even had the characters fight the structure of storytelling. This irreverent approach to canon and the timeline is certainly confusing at times since the show regularly refuses to guide viewers through what is real and what is not. That is undoubtedly part of rick and morty's unique charm, but it is understandable and somewhat natural to want to know what really counts in the long term of this story.

Big issue though, episode 5 (whirley dirley conspiracy) is. Cut off? it is just missing the ending of the episode. It cuts straight to the credits. There's no scratches or any reason it would skip and there doesn't appear to be any way to change settings or rewing or fast forward to the rest of the episode. It's just no there. There's no ending. Just. Jumps to the credits.

The second the show starts you can tell that the characters fit perfectly with each other, and involved with the craziness that happens in the universe with rick and morty, they are immediately hilarious and extremely creative at the same time. A couple episodes in and i could tell that this was a unique show, and that people need to be watching it because it has huge potential. And with dan harmon writing and directing at the helm of it all, the magic that this show brings is a rare gem in television that people need to watch. So yeah i highly suggest this show to anyone who wants a true genuine laugh at least once a week.

Alot of dvd franchises such as adventure time, put in alot of effort in the dvd box art and design choices. The ones here are really lazy and low quality. 1. The art on the dvd are all same design, low quality print too (lots of noise) 2. Free poster! so in my opinion, it looks really bad. Its just pixilated art of rick and morty and they are corpses.

Rick and morty has to be the best new sci-fi comedy in years. The animation is awesome and the writing is extremely clever.
